Add CarRentalList to Cursor

  1. Open ~/.cursor/mcp.json (every project) or .cursor/mcp.json in a project, creating it if needed.
  2. Add the server below and save the file.
  3. Open Cursor Settings → MCP: CarRentalList shows its tools once it is connected.
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "carrentallist": {
      "url": "https://mcp.carrentallist.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Check that it works

In the agent chat, ask “Where can I rent a Rolls-Royce Cullinan?”. Cursor calls vehicle_availability.

Every answer carries the date of the data (as_of) and links to the carrentallist.com pages of the cars and companies it mentions.

Troubleshooting

The server shows an error or no tools
Check that the file is valid JSON (no trailing comma), then toggle the server off and on in Settings → MCP.
The tools are not called
MCP tools run in agent mode; switch the chat from Ask to Agent.

What it can answer

The server's tools cover cars with published daily rates, where a model can be rented, rate statistics, companies and their rental terms, catalog highlights, the monthly company ranking and exotic car news: see the tools reference and the example answers.
