Add exotic car rental data to Claude

Add the free, read-only CarRentalList MCP server to Claude and ask about exotic car rentals in the U.S.: published daily rates, where a model can be rented, and each company's terms. It answers from 3,485 cars at 167 independent companies in 34 states. No account and no API key.

Add CarRentalList to Claude

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it CarRentalList and paste the URL https://mcp.carrentallist.com/mcp. Leave authentication empty: the server needs no key.
  3. Select Add. In a chat, open the tools menu in the message box and make sure CarRentalList is turned on.

Check that it works

Ask “What does a Lamborghini Huracán cost per day in Miami?”. Claude calls price_overview and answers with the published rates and carrentallist.com links.

Every answer carries the date of the data (as_of) and links to the carrentallist.com pages of the cars and companies it mentions.

Troubleshooting

The connector does not show in the chat
Open the tools menu in the message box and switch CarRentalList on for that chat. New chats keep the setting.
I can't add a custom connector
On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds connectors for the organization (Organization settings → Connectors); ask yours to add the URL.
Claude answers without calling the tools
Name the source in the question (“using CarRentalList, …”) or ask about prices, cars or companies in a U.S. city.

What it can answer

The server's tools cover cars with published daily rates, where a model can be rented, rate statistics, companies and their rental terms, catalog highlights, the monthly company ranking and exotic car news: see the tools reference and the example answers.
